MLPR at Treasure for London Jewellery Week
Friday, June 11th, 2010
Always more than happy to add to our bulging jewellery collection, MLPR popped over to Treasure, the jewellery networking event and centrepiece exhibition for London Jewellery Week. Showcasing both British and international designers, the space was packed with rows of glass cases, each holding glistening, polished bracelets, necklaces, gems and more. Lots of black, glossy statement necklaces and creamy gold cuffs were on display, as well as the event’s first ever Ethical Jewellery Pavilion.
Sushi platters and jugs of ice cold Pimms kept the media crowd well oiled and a little goodie bag, complete with a free bottle of Fake Bake (which us pasty PR girls much appreciated), handed to us at the end, finished the night off perfectly.

MLPR team at the This Morning studio
Wednesday, May 26th, 2010
The other week saw the MLPR team trek down to the Southbank to visit the lovely ladies at This Morning. After ending up knee deep in dresses, hats, jewelry and more, we decided it was time for a well earned break, so we snuck off and had a peek inside the This Morning studio! Making ourselves comfy on the plush red sofas, honing our presenting skills and admiring the gorgeous view out onto the Thames, we reckon we could give Phil and Holly and run for their money, so watch this space!
We are also very happy to report that a few of our gorgeous pieces ended up on the show today, during their Sex and the City fashion segment! Featuring one poppy-red, Grecian style dress and one sassy white cocktail dress with turquoise stones, both by Chica, plus some seriously luxe looking bangles by Lucas Jack, we thought the outfits looked stunning.

A balmy night out in London
Friday, May 21st, 2010
Yeah – Thursday night, and the sun is still shining! After a great appointment at MTV’s studios it was a quick cab journey to check out a few Notting Hill openings. First up was the preview evening of the Mary Portas Living and Giving shop on Westbourne Grove for Save the Children. We’d arranged for our client Designer Alterations to offer a 10% donation to the charity for any alterations needed by customers from when the shop officially opens on Saturday. It was great to snoop around and see all the fabulous bargains to be had – which ranges from vintage Chanel handbags to new Marc Jacobs pieces and lots of Jaeger! Am sure they will be mobbed but with rails of stock so be sure to check it out.
Sadly Mary Portas wasn’t there, but we made do with this life-size cut out (see above)
Just around the corner on Ledbury Road was the opening of the new Vintage Academe shop which has incredible designer vintage pieces, ranging from Thierry Mugler, Pucci to original Halston. Great for one off pieces and the party was rocking – with lots of ladies in vintage frocks serving some delicious sparkling vodka!
Then if was off to Soho catch up with ex-colleagues from my Channel Five days who now work in all kinds of places like Channel 4 and Sky TV.
Finally a quiet dinner in Soho & a black cab journey home as the light of London flashed by.
We love London! Have a great weekend

Not wanting to brag or anything ….
Thursday, March 4th, 2010
Not wanting to brag too much but I just had to put these latests client reviews up:-!
March, 3 2010 Lucy Morello, Founder & Creative Director of Brazelle: ”
When I signed up with MLPR the change in gear took me by surprise. These girls have an endless reservoir of new angles, promotional ideas and enthusiasm second to none. Within weeks of signing MLPR had got Brazelle into the cover of a major UK publication, auditioning for brand programs on the BBC, lots of internet articles and even its own stand at London Fashion Week. On top of this blastering efficiency the team is a joy to work with. Being a new ‘invention’ my product is not what I would have considered ‘PR friendly’ yet it seems that when Marie Louise believes in something its like if a magic wand gets to work. Looking at her calm exterior I would have never guessed the astonishing speed with which she makes things happen.
MLPR has been a god-sent.”
February, 28, 2010 Nick Bartley, CEO, Lucas Jack jewellery:, “Although I was told it normally takes a few months before generating any press, MLPR started getting results for me in a matter of weeks. Almost immediately after taking them on my brand was being featured in key magazines and broadsheets and the benefit to my business has been substantial. They are pro-active in their approach and give a very personal level of service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend MLPR”
