What a brilliant turn out with over 150 people passing through and enjoying a glimpse into what AW12 has on offer.  Special highlights included the launch of the Tatty Devine Charm club – and we were very well looked after by the lovely staff at The Westbury Hotel.

H + H metal nail art created a buzz at the Thierry Mugler show!
Tuesday, March 13th, 2012

Gothic, precious metal nail art by design duo H + H created a buzz on the catwalks of the highly anticipated Thierry Mugler show at Paris Fashion Week! Edgy jewellery designer and MLPR client -  Hannah Warner makes one half of the exciting design duo, joined with make-up artist Holly Silius. The standout nail collection was the perfect complement to the sleek AW12 collection and in our eyes was the highlight of the show!

‘Even through the jaded madness witnessed off stage, the nails still managed to stun the whole team. They were the most talked about things backstage, as no one had ever seen anything like them before,’ the head manicurist, Marian Newman told us.   Sunday Times Style also loved them with a news feature at the weekend.  They are going into Kabiri soon but you can buy them online too.

Gorgeous womenswear Beaumont Organic launches new collection in time for Fairtrade Fortnight!
Monday, February 27th, 2012

Fairtrade Fortnight starts today and aims to remind us that buying fairly can improve living standards and save lives across the world. We have been working with the ethical womenswear brand Beaumont Organic for two seasons now.  The designer behind it, Hannah Beaumont wanted to create a fashion collection of easy to wear pieces, that are both on trend, but also completely ethically sources, using 100% organic materials.  She launched her collection in 2008, and has already won awards, including ‘The Best Textile Product’ at the Natural and Organic Awards.

‘Fair-trade fortnight is an invaluable step towards educating consumers about the products they buy and how to shop. The more knowledgeable we are the more we will look to buy from ethical companies like Beaumont Organic, which offers affordable luxury that aims to inspire women’s fashionable pallet, whilst also fulfilling a desire to give a little back to the world we live in.’ – Hannah Beaumont

We are big fans of her white shirt collection, and easy to wear knits – and the good news is her new SS12 collections are now available online!

The Tatty Devine and Claire’s accessories twitter storm makes the news in the US!
Monday, February 27th, 2012

We have been struck by the power of Twitter, following the controversy created by the Tatty Devine ‘Can you spot the difference?’ blog post last week.  This post showed pictures of some jewellery bought last week from Claire’s Accessories, which look very similar to some of Tatty Devine’s classic designs.  Support for Tatty Devine was instant,  via Twitter, and Facebook, and it was only a matter of hours before the story was being discussed on the BBC, The Guardian, Metro to name just a few.  It even got to the point when it was trending on Twitter.  Now the Americans are talking about it too with US Magazine JCK and Huffington Post posting stories.  …
