Fox & Rose survey reveals the British boyfriend is the best at buying lingerie for their girl!
Tuesday, February 7th, 2012

Luxury lingerie brand and client of MLPR Fox & Rose have conducted a survey into the lingerie gifting habits of European men. Gone are the days of the timid and clueless British male! The survey of over 500 British, German, Italian and French men revealed that the British boyfriend is the best at buying lingerie for their partner!

British guys are the most clued up when it comes to what his lady wants and are more likely to buy pretty, feminine designer lingerie that fits both in terms of measurement and trends. French men although likely to spend more on lingerie for the ladies per annum are more likely to favour the racier red garments, champagne and sex toys to woo and German and Italian men favouring black, dominatrix inspired styles! Amanda Lorenzani co-founder of Fox & Rose concludes that most women would prefer to receive pretty, feminine lingerie over the more kinky red and black garments and British men seem to instinctively understand this.

So girls, it seems our British boys are the most clued up when it comes to our underwear! Here’s hoping for the perfect designer lingerie this Valentines! Let’s hope they visit http://www.foxandrose.com/

MLPR hosts their SS12 Press Day
Thursday, November 17th, 2011

Last week saw all of us at MLPR dusting off our hosting hats and staging our annual MLPR SS12 Press Day, held right in the heart of bustling central London in The Courthouse Hotel. Throughout Wednesday and Thursday we set up camp in the beautiful penthouse suite of the hotel, which was decked out with a fabulous array of women’s clothing and lingerie, gorgeous embellished shoes, sumptuous leather handbags and a dazzling showcase of jewellery.

The press turned out in their droves to browse the rails, photograph garments and discover more about the stories behind our endlessly talented clients. On display were fifteen unique SS12 collections, including Wondaland’s vintage-inspired pieces featuring lashings of embellished silk and long printed maxis, Safor’s colour popping exotic skin clutches and Hannah Warner’s edgy statement jewellery, to name but a few.

Along with the consumption of much sushi and champagne, all of the collections were a huge success and were received with a flurry of admiration and delight – all in all a fantastic two days!

We would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who came by last week, we hope you had as much fun as we did!

Last week’s MLPR AW11 press preview was rammed!
Thursday, April 21st, 2011

The MLPR team love their designer bag client Mimi Berry, and so does the fashion press.  At our AW press preview a couple of week’s ago, the collection was caught the eye of everyone – from the Vogue team, to Elle, The Times and Sunday Times Style.  We really had a great turn out this season with over 120 fashion journalists coming along to see all our gorgeous clients new season’s collections.  Favourites included the new Libelula AW 2011 collection (very 60s inspired), statement lingerie pieces from Fox & Rose (look out for Stella McCartney’s flower print lingerie next season) and the cute new Rocco bag by Wilbur & Gussie with the fox  clasps.

Jewellery expert Orit was showcasing some pretty and feminine new pieces from Phoebe Coleman which we all had our eye on and lots of journalists had already spotted the mouthwatering Azuni jewellery at the John Lewis press day as well – which will be going in-store there in June.  One of the Voguette’s rocked up wearing a Hannah Warner coral pendant necklace which had been getting lots of attention at Vogue house – Hannah’s new collection has lots of surprises featuring bendy hinge rings and pendants with hidden compartments.

Pistol Panties showed some of the hottest swimwear around for this summer which the fashion press are loving (and us!)  and Miss Mandalay with it’s array of gorgeous lingerie and bikinis, designer for larger cupsizes was covetted by many.  From London based handbag label Cheet, the biggest hit was the Apollo and Artemis elegant 20s inspired shapes with chain handles.

Pistol Panties Spring/Summer 2011 Press Day
Tuesday, February 15th, 2011

Hi there –  its Shereen here – I have just started at MLPR and my first week has been very hectic indeed! The first thing I had on my schedule was the Pistol Panties SS’11 press day which was a very glamorous and exciting start.

It all happened in the most stunning penthouse suite at the Courthouse Hotel.  If you  haven’t discovered this hidden gem you should definitely check it out – just opposite Liberty’s on Great Malborough Street.  It is a a magnificent listed building which used to be the Magistrates Court and still has the original court-room where John Lennon, Mick Jagger had trials for naughtiness in the 60s.

Anyway we were lucky to have the most sumptuous rooms to showcase all the fabulous swimwear from Pistol Panties, right at the top of the hotel.   It was great meeting  the designer Deborah Flemming who was telling us how the 1970s and octane glamour have inspired her new collection.  The press loved it and it was so much fun bringing some sunshine and summer fun into gloomy February.

As you can see the collection is stunning and every bit as cool. A couple of my favourite pieces are the paint splash cut out swim-suit. love the pastel palette, alluring cut-out detailing and uber cool print.  British Vogue also think so and featured it in the March issue.

My other favourite piece is this leopard print swimsuit, I love the animal inspired print in this seasons neon colours.

Talking of neon, it’s going to be huge for this spring, and Elle have already spotted a very cool bikini from the little sister label Pistols and featured in their March issue.

The John Lewis team also came along as Deborah designs the “Disco” swimwear range by Pistol Panties range, exclusively for John Lewis – but most excitingly she has also created the prettiest but sexy lingerie collection for them in contrasting Liberty print which was inspired by English summer picnics.

Oh for the summer to arrive – but if you want to be ahead of the game, all the collections are going in-store shortly (Selfridges will have large selection) and will be on-line at www.pistolpanties.com very soon.

Not wanting to brag or anything ….
Thursday, March 4th, 2010

Not wanting to brag too much but I just had to put these latests client reviews up:-!

March, 3 2010 Lucy Morello, Founder & Creative Director of Brazelle: ”

When I signed up with MLPR the change in gear took me by surprise. These girls have an endless reservoir of new angles, promotional ideas and enthusiasm second to none. Within weeks of signing MLPR had got Brazelle into the cover of a major UK publication, auditioning for brand programs on the BBC, lots of internet articles and even its own stand at London Fashion Week. On top of this blastering efficiency the team is a joy to work with. Being a new ‘invention’ my product is not what I would have considered ‘PR friendly’ yet it seems that when Marie Louise believes in something its like if a magic wand gets to work. Looking at her calm exterior I would have never guessed the astonishing speed with which she makes things happen.

MLPR has been a god-sent.”

February, 28, 2010 Nick Bartley, CEO, Lucas Jack jewellery:, “Although I was told it normally takes a few months before generating any press, MLPR started getting results for me in a matter of weeks.  Almost immediately after taking them on my brand was being featured in key magazines and broadsheets and the benefit to my business has been substantial.  They are pro-active in their approach and give a very personal level of service.  I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend MLPR”
