Marie Louise Pumfrey set up MLPR in 2005, working for luxury brand Connolly leather and Sloane Square eye boutique, MIchel Guillon. Interest from other clients quickly followed, such as clutch bag brand Wilbur & Gussie and Chelsea retailer Austique. Marie Louise has built the agency gradually, selecting clients that she wants to work with, and feels passionate about their collections or services.
She began her fashion PR career in the early 90s at the leading agency Lynne Franks PR, where she worked on a wide range of retail and fashion brands including Next, Dolcis Shoes, St. Chrisopher's Place and Carnaby Street.
After this, she moved to LBC Radio as Promotions Manager, before moving to Spin Communications in Sydney Australia. Here she ran the fashion showroom, and managed a range of fashion and consumer accounts.
When she returned to London, she joined the launch team for Channel 5, where she worked for seven years as Head of Drama, Arts and Life-style Publicity. She managed the PR for high profile dramas, lifestyle shows, arts programming and documentaries.
MLPR is based in North West London and currently represents a raft of exciting British designer labels, boutiques and companies. The company employs a team of excellent, enthusiastic and efficient PR specialists.
