Australian designers are making quite an impact during London Fashion Week with collections by Sass & Bide and Willow making quite the headlines.
MLPR was lucky enough to be invited to an exclusive preview of some of the hottest new talent to be coming out of Melbourne last week. Held at Australia House and hosted by a very glamorous team from the Victorian Government, the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF) showcased eight Melbourne designers.
Having spent a couple of fabulous years in Sydney working for Spin Communications one of the leading fashion PR agencies at the time, it was great to be back amongst the thriving and vibrant Aussie fashion talent.
Future names to watch out for include Alexi Freeman, Alpha 60, and Leonard Street. Also great to catch up with my old work mate Thelma McQuillan, who is now Fashion Director of Harpers Bazaar Australia! Love this job!
