As Maison Lejaby launches their AW14 Couture collection Financial Times writer Avril Groom, the voice of luxury was invited to the exclusive Maison Lejaby Salon Couture in Paris to experience a service at the heart of the brand. Describing her visit in a recent article for the How To Spend It, Avril relays the beauty of the collection as well as the expert team who were on hand to guide her through the Salon and personal fitting service, which includes an in-house seamstress. Avril remarked that ‘the exemplary fitting process (was) a pleasure’, a taste of which can be found at Harrods, who exclusively stock the Couture range in the UK.
Completely hand-crafted in Lyon using the finest fabrics such as Chantilly and Lyon lace and silk satin, the Couture collection represents the very essence of French luxury. Crafted over 18 months, the process relies on the combined talents of a host of passionate, committed professionals including designers, pattern-makers, seamstresses, engineers and creative artists. The finished range comprises over 50 different items, more than 12 different materials and takes 22 individual stages of production to hand-craft each of the bra’s. A made to measure service is exclusively available from the Salon Couture in Paris, by appointment only. The AW14 Couture collection is in-store now at Harrods, Knightsbridge.
